Stabbed 7 times and dedicated to saving the lives of our children.

I am relentlessly committed to helping us all help each other by telling personal stories from our own journeys of Positive Transformation, supporting and inspiring others to do more and be more through powerful connection.

This is all about how we positively transform a billion lives in the next decade, and while that may seem ambitious I believe this.

"Very simply, there is nothing more powerful than a changed mind, when we can change one mind we positively transform one life. One becomes two, two becomes four and exponentially compounded growth becomes a billion lives faster than you may think."

On this journey of Positive Transformation and mission to Change One Mind, Change One Life it was powerful speaking to AMANI SIMPSON this week with Yasmin Barnard. It is clear to see that this young man is deeply engaged with living a truly authentic journey of change and transformation, spiritually, emotionally, physically and creatively, all in support of helping others on their journey's of positive transformation.

It was wonderful chatting and getting to know Amani while thinking about how we can all be bolstering and amplifying his message, also exploring ways in which we can facilitate access for him to the resources required in support of his mission.

To give some real context and insight here, after struggling to find his feet Amani grew up fast, nearly losing his life after being stabbed seven times in a knife attack in 2011. Following that horrific attack which is now seen far too often on the news, he dedicated his life to steering young people away from darkness. The importance of this should anyone need reminding, was again made clear recently after the stabbing of a young innocent girl in Croydon.

Speaking with Amani he had this to say about his work.

"With my creative hat on, I’m a director, producer and writer, starting my film career in 2018 as the producer and protagonist of the award-winning ‘AMANI’ Short Film starring Hollywood Actor, Joivan Wade (DC Comic’s Doom Patrol, The First Purge and Shiro’s Story). It received 1 Million views in four days and has since been viewed nearly 4 million times on Youtube. My rule of thumb is that all the stories I tell must be honest, thought-provoking and uplifting.

My mission is to be a servant leader who always finds ways to add value to others through my lived experience, loving nature and influential network. I plan to leave this earth (as an old man) having used my time well, impacting the lives, mindsets and trajectory of millions of people."

We must all now collectively pave the way for a safer more inclusive society that nurtures the dreams of every young person, regardless of gender, background, or circumstances. Young people should live in a world where their dreams know no bounds, and their spirits soar higher than ever before.

In making that a reality Amani is a beacon of hope that shines through the film "Save Me" centred around a courageous girl in a gang, the film amplifies the voices of these vulnerable teenagers, opening our eyes to their plight.

Most of Amani's projects are run through his social enterprise, AVIARD Inspires CIC, also working with a number of other impactful initiatives such as Apprentice Nation and The Commission On Young Lives. He is also a secondary school governor, trustee of a leading creative college and board member of a leading Christian media production company.

Everyone coming together with us at The Positive Transformation Initiate (PTI) is deeply passionate about working with young individuals, fostering opportunities, advancing social mobility, and cultivating connections with businesses committed to empowering young people with skills and employment. Everything we do is about Inspiration, Connection and Meaningful Engagement.

This week has been incredibly powerful as we connected with Amani and with Aliya Ali, an amazing lady who has endured quite a journey having once sold drugs for gangs but now advocates for The Daddyless Daughters Project CIC.

Her story shines a light on the complex struggles that girls caught in this web of violence experience and she has been diligently working behind the scenes on launching a transformative initiatives to address these challenges including ‘The Sister Squad Outreach Program’.

Amani we look forward to being able to support you in anyway possible and want to flag your amazing work to Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, although it looks like you have already met!. Sir Ken is someone who I respect and admire deeply.

Amani, you are a real example of everything I hold dear and why I created the Positive Transformation Initiative

So let's work together in collaboration and help more people create their own Masterpiece Days and brighter better futures.
